This one is my favorite because it shows Bush celebrating even though he still have five yards to go. Just like he thought he was the winner because he was ahead of Gore by 1700 votes which turned out to actually be less

Project Citizen
I think these middle school kids did a great job on the project. I thought Ozen was raggedy until I saw the pictures of their school. It looks like its not a safe or healthy place to go to school. Looking at their project helped me understand the whole concept of public policy better. I am glad that Chicago took the time to improve that school.

My Perfect Candidate

Abortion
Freedom of Choice
Fire Arms
Everyone has the right to bear arms until they do something criminal to loose that right.
Foreign Policy
Unless its a threat to the U.S we should mind our own business.
Iraq
If the country wants to blow themselves and their citizens up............oh well. Let them help themselves we have our own wars to fight on the streets of our own cities such as Chicago. With all the crim going on the government should be worrying out whats benefiting us rather than other people.
Government Assistance
Government assistance should only be extended to the elderly and disabled. Tax money should not go to support lazy non working people. If they can't take care of themselves oh well.....get a better job. Its not fair that my hard working tax dollars should go to feed some lazy people when I can't eat now
Education
We should put more money towards education and give more incentives on doing well in school. The money we spend on prisoners and the unemployed can go to provide scholarships for many students
Homosexuals
They should be allowed to have the same rights as everyone else. If they want to get married thats their business. The gay community doesn't affect the natural balance of American life. You can't force sexual preference upon someone. If they want to adopt kids I say let them do it with great joy.
Religious Practices
Everyone should be allowed to practice their religion as long as it does not interfere with someones privacy and space. People should have the right to make non human sacrafices if thats what their religion states.
Taxes
Everyone should pay 5% of their income. Thats should be the set rate no matter how much income you have.
Drugs
I would legalize marijuana and allow it to be sold in drugstores to anyone over the age of 21.
Immigration
If you want to come to our country you can as long as you pay equal taxes, and put the same thing in the pot as other Americans.

Sex Equals NO
Tufts University had every right to make this decision. Having a roommate means knowing how to share a room and what lines can be crossed. As college students the roommates should be able to draw that line themselves, but since they can't the university had every right to step in. Sexual relations are a private matter and should be kept behind close doors, if a student wants to participate in sexual activities they should take it to a hotel, car or somewhere else besides the dorms if their roommates object. Now on the other hand if the roommate has no problem with it then I feel the University has no right to step in. Freedom of expression has limits. Having sex while a roommate is present is a violation of the law, and is considered indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, and who knows what else. Personally I wouldn't want to sleep in my room if I knew my roommate had conducted sexual business there. Of course with the new rules at Tufts the students are going to ignore them and do what they want, however it is nice to have that rule in place in case there is a discrepancy with two roommates.

Media
I totally agree with former President Carter. President Obama has faced challenges in doing the simplest things that past presidents did all the time, such as his speech about school. All the presidents had did it in the past but when Obama did it, it became an issue. I also find it strange that NO republicans support his new bills. Maybe racism is worse than we Americans think.
I dont feel like the media is questioning Kanye's first amendment. If he would have went on a blog or website and stated his opinion it would have been fine. However to actually go on stage and interrupt her moment was violating her space. It also looks bad because Kanye is a grown man, and she is just a teen girl. It reminded me of a lion attacking a cat, ofcourse people were gonna take up for Taylor Swift. Maybe the media did blow it out of proportion however i dont feel they questioned his rights.
Now if the media is handling in a neutral way.................I DONT KNOW. Its pretty hard to be unbiased and it depends on who the media is. CNN, MSNBC, and other media sources all have their own opinions on different matters. Sometimes CNN will take one side over another and tell half a story and sometimes they won't. I guess it depends on whose reporting and how they feel. With Kanye I feel like alot of people are turning it into more of a white vs. black thing.

Obama & Education
Obama's goal was to give American students a boost in taking education serious. All the drama that surrounded the speech wasnt necessary and neither was the hype. He didnt say anything that no one hasnt told me over a million times. It isnt a monumental moment in history, Obama just did what all the presidents before him did. Somewhere there probably are some students who were impacted by the speech, however I wasnt one of them. The day the speech came on I didnt hear anyone talking about it and 90% of the students didnt even wanna watch it. The only students
I saw that really looked forward to it were the smarter kids who really didnt need to hear it.
